“Latin American designers are the most resourceful people you can ever meet; they are naturally creative and always find a way to achieve their goals. I believe there is a huge opportunity for creating a professional organization that provides networking opportunities for Latino designers to promote their work and share business opportunities.”
Ana Linares is a Brooklyn-based, Miami-born, and Bogotá-raised designer. After earning an industrial design degree at Pratt Institute, she worked for recognized companies and designers such as Knoll Design, Karim Rashid, Mark Goetz, Curve ID, and Mint NYC.

Her own designs demonstrate a sensitivity to material experimentation and a love of creating shapes and folds inspired by organic forms and origami. She has exhibited widely, including at New York’s International Contemporary Furniture Fair, 100% Design London, Brooklyn Designs, and Art Basel Miami. Ana’s Conversation Chair was selected by Tom Dixon and other jurors for 100% Design London’s 100% Futures exhibition; that same year, her magazine rack won second prize in the annual Umbra/Pratt Design Competition.
