GPRO Certificate Courses

GPRO: Green Professional Building Skills Training is a series of courses and certificate exams developed by Urban Green Council, the NY chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council,  to teach the people who build, renovate, and maintain buildings the principles of sustainability combined with trade-specific green construction knowledge.

Only 2 classes and an exam get you a GPRO Certificate that will demonstrate your understanding of green building principles and will enhance your ability to compete for green jobs.

Led by industry experts using real-life classroom exercises, GPRO Fundamentals + Construction Management (CM) gives experienced building professionals the critical tools to transition from conventional to sustainable construction practices.

This course is ideal for a range of construction and real estate professionals including CM or GC site superintendent, project manager, project engineer/clerk, sustainability manager, facilities manager, building owner, project architect, or commissioning agent.

Part I: Fundamentals of Building Green

Develop a better understanding of sustainability, the components of green building, LEED, and the construction practices that make new and existing buildings more efficient, healthier and higher performing.

Part II: Construction Management

Learn sustainable construction practices such as Sustainability Planning in the Design Phase, Training Your Trades on Project Goals & Requirements, Commissioning & Close-Out, and Measurement & Verification.
