GPRO Certificate Courses

GPRO: Green Professional Building Skills Training is a series of courses and certificate exams developed by Urban Green Council, the NY chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council, to teach the people who build, renovate, and maintain buildings the principles of sustainability combined with trade-specific green construction knowledge.

Only 2 classes and an exam get you a GPRO Certificate that will demonstrate your understanding of green building principles and will enhance your ability to compete for green jobs.

Part I: Fundamentals of Building Green

Develop a better understanding of sustainability, the components of green building, LEED, and the construction practices that make new and existing buildings more efficient, healthier and higher performing. 

Part II: Electrical Systems

Electricians and workers in the electrical industry: learn about sustainable construction practices through topics such as Sustainability in Electrical Systems, Lighting, Heating & Cooling, Distributed and Renewable Energy Generation, Assuring Building Performance, and Job Management.

Part III: Exam
